The ESFR-Simple consortium meeting took place from 22 to 24 October 2024 at the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava.

It was an opportunity to share with the entire team involved in the project all the results already obtained at the half-way stage. But it was also an opportunity to anticipate and prepare the work ahead to achieve the end-of-project objectives.

It was also an opportunity to strengthen the links between the teams through a full day of technical visits. Many thanks to the managers and teams of Mochovce nuclear power plant, the managers of guides of JAVYS and Brano for giving us this great opportunity to visit your sites: a VVER-400 construction site and the JAVYS waste repository site. Technically very interesting and much appreciated by all the participants.

To sum up, it was a great way for most of the consortium members to discover Slovakia, a discovery that was appreciated by all, in addition to the consortium meeting itself, which did not bring up any sticking points.

The Advisory Board members highlighted the important work carried out to date and suggested ways in which certain studies could be improved or developed.

Already 2 years of project, but still 2 years to go.
